Do I just have to start removing mods until I'm at or around 100-140 to get the game to run properly? I don't relish the idea of activating each mod one by one and launching over 240 separate times to find compatibility issues, but I'm running out of options.
Lowering draw distance has also helped a little, but the game still crashes after playing for more than 5 minutes. I've already installed the Out OF Memory Fix, New Vegas Anti-Crash, ran the Large Address Aware Enabler to allow >2GB of RAM, edited the FALLOUT.INI file to run with multiple cores, and disabled the Maximum Texture Pack. My first thought was that there's a shortage of RAM due to my sheer number of mods and the new, high detail textures I've added.
(Curiously enough, I can't even make it past the first loading screen if I run Fallout 3.exe instead of FOSE.) The game is basically unplayable in this state. I've also installed the FO3 Mod Limit Fix for stability.Įven after solving some mod compatibility issues with both FO3Edit & Loot and disabling any mods with 'missing' master files in Nexus Mod Manager, Fallout 3 still crashes consistently after playing for a couple of minutes. esp/.esm plugins, so I made sure to stay under that cap. The vast majority of my mods are from this mod guide.
